The Dysart Unified School District announced three new principals for the 2009-2010 school year: Jean Hunt, principal at Western Peaks Elementary School, Michael Hawkins, principal at Shadow Ridge High School and Roberta Lockhart, principal at Dysart High School.
Prior to joining Dysart, Hunt was an elementary school principal in the Littleton and Wickenburg school districts.
Hawkins has been with Dysart since 2006, including assistant principal at Willow Canyon High School. He was a teacher and administrator in the Glendale Union High School District.
Lockhart has been a part of the Dysart School District since 1994. She has worked as a teacher, assistant principal and most recently as the principal of the Sundown Mountain Alternative Program. Before that, she was a teacher and coach in New York.
